  • Larryleachia cactiformis (Hook.) Plowes: has a globular body tessellate with roughly pentangular, flat or depressed tubercles. This species is quite variable particularly in the colour of flowers. South Africa and Namibia.
  • Larryleachia cactiformis var. cristata hort.: Crested form.
  • Larryleachia felina (D.T.Cole) Plowes: has characteristic inner corona lobes short and curved like cat's claws. Distribution: Cape Province, Richtersveld, Near the summit of Rosyntjieberg, South Africa.
  • Larryleachia similis (N.E.Br.) Plowes: cup-shaped corolla that encloses the corona. Outer5-lobed, with each lobe deeply trifid, the two lateral teeth converging over the shorter central spotted tooth. Distribution: Southern Namibia to northern Cape (South Africa)
